Dr. iur. Anne-Catherine Hatt is Präsidentin Künstlerischen Kommission der Zünfte Zürichs. In this role, since years, she is responsible for the organization of the historical Sechseläuten festival of Zurich, in particular of the children's parade that open every year this event on the 3rd Monday of April since the early 20th century.
During the Speech, she will share with us the great value of guilds and Sechseläuten for the city of Zurich, in the past, present and future. We could also learn how children have access to the Children Parade which open the festival.

Sechseläuten is the spring festival of Zurich and it signifies the chasing away of winter and the start of the summer semester. During the event, members of Zurich’s 25 guilds parade through the city wearing traditional costumes and accompanied by marching bands. The guilds then gather on the Sechseläutenplatz to see the Böögg, a giant snowman effigy, being set on fire. According to folklore, the quicker the poor chap explodes into flame, the sooner spring will come.
Anne-Catherine Hatt is also Youth Advocate of the Canton of St. Gallen. Her professional activity includes: conduct of criminal investigations against juveniles in all categories of crime, representation of charges in court, enforcement of punishments and measures in children and adolescents, conducting specialized, child interviews (victims), lectures on criminal law, criminal procedure, juvenile prosecution, victim, lectures on criminal law.
