Lunch - Discussion: Rotarian Action Group RFPD (Population Growth and Sustainable Development)

Wednesday, September 27, 2017, Restaurant Belvoirpark

The issue of sustainable population development is more current than ever. Wars in various regions of Africa, famine and not least the increasing number of refugees across the Mediterranean bring the issue closer to us.

In 2012, the Rotarian Action Group RFPD (Population Growth and Sustainable Development) Switzerland-Liechtenstein was established with the aim of raising the awareness of the Rotary and Innerwheel Clubs on the issue of population growth, especially in Africa, and the promotion of women as a solution The center point.

The clubs should be encouraged to participate in projects and collaborate in existing projects. Two very successful events were organized, one in Berne and one in Winterthur. The past two years were used to overcome problems in a small circle, and have succeeded in defining the role of Action Groups within Rotary and facilitating collaboration with the Governor Council. Now we would like to re-launch the Action Group to bring the topic back to the Rotary and Innerwheel clubs and to stimulate solutions in the form of specific projects.
