Zurich Opernhaus during Corona - Mr. Christian Berner

Mr. Christian Berner, the commercial director of the Opernhaus Zürich, will talk about how the Opernhaus weathered the storm of the Corona, with the extended closing of regular performances, intermittent first nights streamed to an online audience free of charge, and with video recordings from the archive streamed also free of charge. We will hear about how the Opernhaus manages to keep their organization afloat and their staff motivated without regular performances.

As a bonus, the event will be attended by Katia Ledoux, a mezzo soprano participating in the International Opernstudio of Opernhaus Zürich, as my guest. She will talk about what Corona means for the start of her carrier, her opportunities to gain experience and exposure to audience, press and agents. She will talk and answer question in an informal way about what the present situation means to her social and artistic situation, being away from family and old friends.
